Day 3: This Day Did Not Exist

So I didn't even try today so I'm not even doing an update here like I normally would. I totally F'd up today, so it didn't exist. Tomorrow I will do Better I promise this to myself.

If tomorrow continues to be bad I'll work on writing it out to try to work out the problem, but tomorrow I'll do it right.

I'm blaming it on needing my depo shot today which means I'm hormonally screwed up. I'm not sleeping enough, I'm stressed the f'd out and I don't like it.

Please let tomorrow be better.

Scale of 1-5 Exercise: 0

TV Show: Didn't even watch one of my shows today. So overall it was just a crap, crap, crap day.

Day 1: A New Year, Starting Over Again

Current weight:  179.6LB
How much have I lost?:  5.4LB
Target weight this week:  177.6LB

My new work out/running shoes!

How do I feel today?:  Anxious and angry. There is a lot going on at work today and I had trouble dealing with it. Unfortunately sometimes I need to take my work home with me, which I don't like, but it's hard to be completely mad about because it is important work.

Scale of 1-5 Eating: 2, I didn't do well today. First my yogurt had mold in it so I didn't eat it and then I went out to lunch and had a burger and fries, mostly because the restaurant I went to is known for its gourmet burgers that are so good. I didn't have to clean my plate though and I did. I should work on portion control. Even though that is what I ate today I was full through dinner time so I just skipped dinner. I probably still went over my allotted daily caloric intake, but the food was fabulous.

Nike+ Kinect more difficult than the Biggest Loser
What exercise did I do today?: 25 Minutes of Kinect Training

Scale of 1-5 Exercise: 4, I liked my workout today, though I still had trouble performing some of the exercises. Tomorrow I'm going to ride the bike in the morning and watch some Dexter. Hopefully it will be a calming morning

TV Show: Found out today that ABC GO no longer works without a television provider. THIS SUCKS! It was pretty much my most favorite app ever and now I can't watch any of my shows and I had a LOT of ABC shows. I can watch them on demand, but I don't actually like watching TV on TV because Ben has absolutely no problem interrupting me when I'm in the middle of a show.

Today's work out!
I think I may need to try wearing my heart rate monitor while I work out with Nike+ Kinect. The amount of calories it says that I burn seems really low compared to the amount of sweat and breathlessness I have. The heart rate monitor matched up with the bracelet may be a better test. I just don't want to jack up my Nikefuel points be counting it all twice.

Goal Setting

This time I won't set a time period on my goals. I think by doing that I put too much pressure on myself to get to that goal weight by that day and it was really disappointing when I didn't.

The first goal will be 10lbs and then I think I will go up by 5lbs after that.

10lbs  - Full length mirror.  We don't have a good one in the house, and I don't really know where we'd put it, but I need a full length mirror if I am going to document this process well.  How else do you take before and after shots!?

15lbs - A set of kettlebells. I feel by the time I've taken off 15lbs I will have sown the kind of commitment necessary to be worth investing in this wonderful work out tool.  Kettlebells are awesome and I know at some point the cardio is not going to be enough and I will need the strength training as well.

20lbs - Some sort of a class. Either to parks and rec or a dance studio or the brainery. Go out and do something fun for yourself once you've taken off that much weight.

25lbs  - New Running Shoes! At this point I should be a crazy awesome runner and 6 months or so should have gone by as I will have reached half way through my fitness goals.  This means I should need new running shoes.  Every 6 months or 60? miles I heard you should change out your shoes.

30lbs - Go out for drinks with friends. Do a special going out night dedicated to the 30lbs. Let them know that's why I'm doing it. Make it a big deal. 30lbs is a lot of weight.

35lbs  - Mini shopping spree. At this point I will certainly have to get some new clothes, possibly event before this, but I think I'll have to do it piecemeal.  At this point I want to be able to splurge (a little). This time around it should be at a store like Plato's Closet. Really nice second hand close sinc eI plan on losing another 15lbs and may not be able to wear this stuff longer.

40lbs - Buy something work out related and extravagant. Don't know what yet.

45lbs - Special haircut/color/makeover/spa day. At this point I think I deserve a bit of pampering. I will have almost made my goal, I think this is a good time to really change up my look drastically.

50lbs - Entirely new wardrobe. When I make it to this goal I want to buy an entirely new wardrobe, crazy huge shopping spree. Not sure how I will fund it yet, but I think it would be well deserved.

Deciding To Start Over

I've decided to try and start over again. I am going to create new habits that will eventually lead me to living a better life. To be honest I like myself, I really do, but I think I can be better. So I will work hard to make my life a better place to be using the following steps:

1) Fitness - Everyday do something. It doesn't matter what it is a walk, a run, the bike, a fitness tape. Just something even if its only 20 minutes. Everyone has at least 20 minutes in their day that they can dedicate to themselves.

2) Healthy Eating - Trying new things, making better choices, eating at home. I will do these things and it will make a difference. DRINK A TON OF WATER.

3) Record Everything - Last time I tried doing this I spent a lot of time tracking everything. Calories eaten, calories burned, how I was feeling, what I was doing. That is the point of this blog I will track it all. I will also be using Nike+ to track my fitness and myfitnesspal.com to track my eating habits.

4) Taking Pictures - I am horrible at recording things through pictures and I want to start so that I what I will do. Each blog post should have at least 3 pictures, even if it is just what I ate that day. Once I get used to it the pictures will get better and I will see how much easier it is to record life through pictures. Hopefully even more pictures of me once I'm feeling better about myself.

5) Rewarding Myself - Last time I set fitness goals I was going to reward myself at each 5lb loss and I didn't. This time I will. Setting realistic goals and rewards.
